Mohammed needs physical therapy sessions three times a week
$2250
Mohammed, a six-year-old, suffers from muscle atrophy, bone shortening, and nerve damage in his hands and feet due to cerebral palsy, which resulted from a lack of oxygen at birth. He also has a recently discovered heart defect.
He needs physical therapy sessions three times a week and orthopedic braces for his feet (a permanent medical device). Additionally, he requires an MRI to assess the heart defect, which may lead to surgery based on the results. Each doctor’s visit involves costly tests and scans, putting a significant financial burden on the family, as his father earns only seven dollars a day.
In terms of education, Mohammed is currently registering for school. Educational institutions will only accept him with a dedicated teaching assistant, significantly increasing school fees. Mohammed also struggles with hand control and needs a writing trainer.
This overwhelming array of needs coincides with the family's dire economic situation. Mohammed requires sponsorship of $250 per month, in addition to the cost of the prosthetic leg, which exceeds $2,000.
Please support this family. Mohammed deserves your help.
